The ukulele is not only a fantastic instrument for beginners or kids thanks to its size, but its unique and iconic sound has made it a popular pick for adults, too!

Music theory is the how behind the wow. Together, we’ll explore what makes certain musical elements work and prepare you for exams or auditions.
About Me
Graeme Morrison is a musician, private music instructor, and freelance communications professional in the place he was born and raised – the City of Kawartha Lakes.
He studied jazz performance at Humber College and has experience playing a wide range of genres, including jazz, funk, rock, and more.
Graeme’s been teaching private bass and guitar lessons since he was in high school, and has experience teaching a variety of ages, skill levels and learning styles.
My Approach
My primary goal is to give students the tools they need to have fun playing music.
Whether that’s getting started on their instrument, developing technique to play their favourite songs, or learning why certain things work, the goal is to be able to play the music they love.
Learning music is a personal experience for everyone, with different goals, learning styles, and available practice time. That’s why all students receive a personalized learning plan to help set and achieve goals.
Pricing
Below are prices for guitar, bass, ukulele, or music theory lessons.
- 30-minute lesson: $25
- 60-minute lesson: $45
Students pre-pay for the month’s worth of lessons by the first of the month via e-transfer, cash or cheque.
Lesson Policy
Lessons are paid for, whether taken or missed, as this time is reserved for students every week. While I may try to make up lessons missed due to illness, I can’t guarantee this.
In the event that I have to cancel a lesson, we will reschedule at a time that works for both of us.
