Have you always wanted to try a musical instrument, but aren’t sure where to start? Come out to our Try-an-Instrument Day on Saturday, August 17 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Lindsay Lounge (68 McLaughlin Road, Unit 5) and try a variety of instruments in an encouraging, no-pressure environment!

Whether you’re looking to get your child into music, are considering playing guitar as a hobby in retirement, or anything in between, our all-ages event provides an interactive, hands-on opportunity to explore all music has to offer.

When: Saturday, August 17 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Where: The Lindsay Lounge, 68 McLaughlin Road, Unit 5

Who Should Attend? Anybody who wants to try an instrument! Whether you’re a family looking for a fun activity for your kids, an adult curious about how they can start playing music, or anybody else, this event is for you.

Cost: Pay-what-you-can! We suggest a $5 entry fee per person, but don’t want cost to be a barrier for anyone to experience all that music has to offer.

What to Expect

  • Our drop-in event will feature stations with a variety of instruments, including acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, keyboard, and various percussion instruments for you to try!
  • Our team will be on-site to help teach you familiar melodies and share more about local music opportunities and music lessons.
  • Anyone in attendance can enter our draw for a chance to win great prizes, including musical instruments, lesson packages, and more!
  • We’ll also be giving out free DIY Build-Your-Own-Instrument kits to those who RSVP below, or on our Facebook event page.
